Homage: 2012
Subscribers, here is your exclusive preview of the finished cartoon homage to the cover of Halls of Undermountain
Undermountain is one of the most famous dungeons in the fifty-year history of D&D. It’s a many-tiered complex the stretches out below the city of Waterdeep in Forgotten Realms. Over the years there have been no fewer than half-a-dozen adventures and supplements focused on Undermountain, and many more that have mentioned or briefly visited it as part of a related tale.
Halls of Undermountain is a hardcover mega-dungeon delve published in 2012 for 4E D&D.
Steve Prescott gave the book a cover painting that puts you right in the middle of the action. It feels like a set piece from a modern action or heist film. It’s one of those scenes that makes you think, “I sure hope our group thinks of a better way to handle THAT encounter!”
