Watch as Stan!'s homage to the 2014 Monster Manual cover comes to life before your eyes!

As a thank you to our paid subscribers, we give you exclusive access to process videos for all of the art created for 50 Years in the Dungeon. Throughout most of the year these have arrived on a regular weekly basis … but the holiday season threw a spanner in the works, and Stan! fell a bit behind in completing the cartoon homages. Now that that all that is behind us, we’ll be catching up just as quickly as we can.

First in the queue is the homage to 2014’s 5E Monster Manual, based on the original cover art by Raymond Swanland. The Xanathar is out of his secret lair and menacing folks on the streets of Waterdeep. Why? We don’t know … this isn’t an adventure, it’s the Monster Manual. But it sure does make for a terrifying image!
