I love the concept of Strixhaven as a setting for D&D adventures. It falls right in there with the Magitech setting for Amazing Engine, Illuminati University for GURPS, and other magical schools from games, comics, movies, and fiction. I don’t know whether you’d call it a trope or a sub-genre, but it’s always held a strong pull on my creative heartstrings. (For years I’ve noodled around with a couple of different variations of my own that I might one day bring to fruition.)

Getting to draw an homage to Magali Villeneuve's cover painting was a true joy that only makes me want even MORE to explore my own visualization of fantastical higher education. Plus, I could draw that owl-kenku professor all day everyday! How much fun is he?!?
