This Week: Ed Stark + Art for PAGE
I just got back from being a special guest at the Philadelphia Area Games Expo (PAGE), where I got to spend time with a bunch of industry luminaries, not least of all my longtime friend Ed Stark. He was a guest on the show way back in Episode 4, and I thought it was more than past time for me to invite him back on again.
Besides being an award-winning game designer and creative director, Ed is currently Zone Lead at ZeniMax Studios. He’s also the Special Guest Coordinator for PAGE. And at the recent show he wrote, organized, and was one of the primary DMs for a four-part Mini-Campaign written exclusively for PAGE. The campaign was inspired in part by some of the classic tournament events from big shows like Gen Con. I worked with Ed to do illustrations for all the pregenerated characters, and I also sat in on multiple rounds of the campaign to draw sketches based on the adventures (and misadventures) the players got their characters into.
I hope you can join us Wednesday, January 28, at 6pm Pacific time for what I’m sure will be a fun and informative Episode 73.
While they chat, Stan! will share some of the artwork he did for and during PAGE.
If you have any questions for Ed or Stan!, post them in reply to this message. Remember that if you’re a paid subscriber, your questions get bumped to the head of the queue.
If you’re enjoying the show, please help us grow our audience by sharing it and this newsletter with other folks you know who you think would also find it fun and entertaining. The BIGGEST challenge we have is growing the audience … and the BEST method to do that is word of mouth.
