This Week: Gen Con & Jeff Grubb
Join us as we talk with gaming luminary Jeff Grubb about Gen Cons past and present
Gamers from around the world will be converging in Indianapolis, IN this week for Gen Con 2025—the Best Four Days in Gaming, indeed! Unfortunately, Stan! can’t make it to the show this year … but we’re devoting this week’s episode to talking about Gen Con’s 58-year history. Our guest will be Jeff Grubb, who began his illustrious career by designing the AD&D Open for Gen Con 1982.
Jeff and Stan! will tell stories about their many years attending the show, and discuss how it’s grown and changed over the years. Join the live chat room for Episode 67 on Wednesday, July 30, at 6pm Pacific … or catch the show on demand anytime afterward by visiting the show’s online archive.
While they chat, Stan! will begin work on a cartoon homage to Megan Lara's cover art for the 2025 Gen Con program book.
If you have any questions for Jeff or Stan!, post them in reply to this message. Remember that if you’re a paid subscriber, your questions get bumped to the head of the queue.
If you’re enjoying the show, please help us grow our audience by sharing it and this newsletter with other folks you know who you think would also find it fun and entertaining. The BIGGEST challenge we have is growing the audience … and the BEST method to do that is word of mouth.
