This Week: William W. Connors + Masque of the Red Death
A brand new interview this week!
Hi, friends! It’s been a little while since I did an interview—since my chat with Alex Kammer, back in March, in fact—but this week we’ll have the first of several interviews I’ve been trying to line up for a while. In this case, for Episode 77 I’ll be sitting down and chatting with award-winning game designer, author, and digital artist, William W. Connors.
Bill was a member of the original Ravenloft campaign team, designer of the Masque of the Red Death Victorian horror setting, and creator of the Dragonlance Fifth Age/SAGA System. In more recent years, his artwork has appeared on the covers of several novels and role-playing games. He also was my “onboarder” when I came to TSR and my cube neighbor for as long as I was in Lake Geneva … plus he’s as avid a baseball fan as I’ve ever met (and a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates, which I know will be a bonus for all the Yinzers in my audience).
While we chat, I’ll begin work on a cartoon homage to Robh Ruppel’s cover painting for the Ravenloft: Masque of the Red Death boxed set.
If you have any questions for Bill or me, post them in reply to this message. Remember that if you’re a paid subscriber, your questions get bumped to the head of the queue.
If you’re enjoying the show, please help us grow our audience by sharing it and this newsletter with other folks you know who you think would also find it fun and entertaining. The BIGGEST challenge we have is growing the audience … and the BEST method to do that is word of mouth.
