This Week: WiP Wednesday—The Dawning of a New Age
This Wednesday I’ll be picking up my cartoon homage to Jeff Easley’s cover painting for The Dawning of a New Age, the start of Jean Rabe’s trilogy kicking off the fiction line for Dragonlance: Fifth Age.
Jean’s book was tasked with launching this new era in TSR’s best selling line, and Jeff’s painting was tasked with capturing the majesty of the new larger-than-ever dragons. I think both did their job splendidly. I’m pretty happy with the “pencil sketch” version of my homage, and am really looking forward to working on the finished line drawing on the show.
While I work, I’ll be telling stories and answering questions. We’ll be streaming live at 6pm Pacific on Wednesday, April 8 … so join us in the live chat room if you can. But if not, remember that you can always find the replay over on my YouTube channel.
If you’re enjoying the show, please consider sharing it with other folks you think would like it, too. Word of mouth is the BEST way to help the show grow.
And please do consider upgrading your subscription. You’ll get access to process videos for all of the art produced on the show and discounts on all art prints and other show-related merch. Plus you’ll be helping to keep the show going and perhaps even expanding.
