This Week's Guest ... Ed Greenwood
Stan! finally fulfills his promise from earlier in the season, and has the great Ed Greenwood as his special guest
We ALMOST had Ed Greenwood as a guest way back in April. But tech problems scuttled that effort and finding a solution took a couple of months. After that, summer convention season hit, followed by scheduling challenges and … well … we finally found a spot that was open for everyone involved. But good things are worth the wait … and this is most DEFINITELY a good thing.
Of course, the less good thing for those of you hoping to join the live chat room is that we RECORDED this episode in early October for use here on the week of Thanksgiving. Actually, we recorded it the week of Canadian Thanksgiving, so this is ACTUALLY a double-Thanksgiving show.
For those who don’t know (really, is there anyone reading this that doesn’t?) … Ed Greenwood is a Canadian writer, game designer, actor, scriptwriter, and librarian who created The Forgotten Realms fantasy setting. He also bears a striking resemblance to Elminster of Shadowdale. His 450-plus books have sold over 60 million copies worldwide in 40+ languages.
He’s also a super nice bloke that I’m honored has allowed me to call him “friend.”
The show will go live on YouTube at our usual livestream time—Wednesday at 6pm Pacific—and there will be a Premiere event where I’ll join the live chatroom as we watch the show together.
While Ed and I chatted, I began work on a cartoon homage to Raymond Swanland’s cover painting for the 5th Edition Monster Manual.
Subscribers to this newsletter were invited to attend the recording session and got to interact directly with Ed. If you’d like to be invited to future pre-recording sessions, be sure your subscribed.
If you’re enjoying the show, please help us grow our audience by sharing it and this newsletter with other folks you know who you think would also find it fun and entertaining. The BIGGEST challenge we have is growing the audience … and the BEST method to do that is word of mouth.
