This week, our special guest is game designer, minis painter, and voice talent JD Wiker.

JD Wiker was a game designer for Wizards of the Coast and a co-founder of the 3PP design house The Game Mechanics, Inc. He’s been a disc jockey, an RPG designer, a video game developer, an amateur voice-over actor, and a miniatures producer ... depending on when in his life you caught him. He's worked on IPs ranging from D&D and Pathfinder to Star Wars and Warhammer Online.

Join Stan! and JD for a conversation that covers work as an in-house designer and what it was like to return to the freelance pool just as the era of third-party publishing was beginning to boom.
