This Week's Guest ... Robert J. Schwalb
We dive into Season 2 with one of the most widely published designers we know ... Robert J. Schwalb
Robert J. Schwalb is a writer, game designer, and game developer noted for his work on Dungeons & Dragons, Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, and numerous other games and supplements. Schwalb runs Schwalb Entertainment, the producers of Shadow of the Weird Wizard, Shadow of the Demon Lord, When the Wolf Comes, and PunkApocalyptic: the RPG.
I’ve known Rob for more than twenty years, and I know that when you sit down to have a conversation with him, you never can be quite sure of what you’re going to hear. He can be brilliant, hilarious, deeply knowledgeable about games, staggeringly original about game design, heartbreakingly compassionate, and wickedly profane … all in the same breath.
Hopefully, you don’t have any other plans for Wednesday, March 19 at 6pm Pacific, so you can join the live chat room for Episode 59. Of course, if you do miss it, you can catch the replay on the show’s Internet archive.
If you have any questions for Rob or Stan!, post them in reply to this message. Remember that if you’re a paid subscriber, your questions get bumped to the head of the queue.
If you’re enjoying the show, please help us grow our audience by sharing it and this newsletter with other folks you know who you think would also find it fun and entertaining. The BIGGEST challenge we have is growing the audience … and the BEST method to do that is word of mouth.

Hey Stan!
Over at the blog Grognardia (an excellent read any day of the week), he put up a couple recent polls with questions that parallel your Top of the Hour questions, such as the age, year and location when buying your first game. It's the comments sections that are gold, because in addition to voting on the poll, many people are telling their stories as well. Here's the link to the latest one, Where did you buy your first RPG?

All the polls have been done in the last month, so you can easily find the others.
What was a challenge about going solo after TSR/WOTC that you didn't expect?
