This Week's Guests... Richard Baker & Dale Donovan

This week I’m lucky enough to be joined by two gentlemen I worked beside at both TSR and WotC for nearly a decade—Richard Baker and Dale Donovan.
Rich is a game designer know for his work on many of the most popular D&D settings—Birthright, Dark Sun, Planescape, Forgotten Realms—but perhaps even more for being one of the principle designers behind Alternity, D&D 3E, Axis & Allies Miniatures Game and other award-winning games. He’s also a highly accomplished novelist, having penned a dozen novels set in the Forgotten Realms, as well as his own military sci-fi series Breaker of Empires.
Dale is an editor and game designer best known for his work on the Forgotten Realms during the late 2E and early 3E eras. Less well known, but no less impressive, is his time as editor of Dragon Magazine and as a managing editor whose work touched nearly every setting and product line that TSR produced. After leaving TSR, Dale worked as a freelance editor for some of the best third party publishers in the industry including Green Ronin, White Wolf, and Steve Jackson Games, just to name a few.
The cartoon homage this week will be based on the cover of 1981’s Fiend Folio—one of the most popular and impactful monster books in the history of the game.
