WiP Episode 27 + An Announcement
We had follow-up work-in-progress episode last week, where I took the completed line drawing (as seen in the thumbnail below … and the coloring page subscribers got last week) and dove into the coloring process. That’s the most time-intensive part of creating one of these cartoon homages … so even with a source that has such a relatively uncomplicated background, and taking a full two hours to work on it, I still didn’t complete the piece during the show.
Having said that, I did have a fun time chatting with folks in the livestream and discussing things like the history of creature types in D&D/AD&D, coloring techniques, and color selection. Remember, even if you miss the livestream, you can always watch the complete video on demand by visiting either the Interview Show or Work In Progress playlists on my YouTube channel.
Unfortunately, the announcement part of this post is that there will be no livestream this Wednesday. I wish I could say that I was taking the week off … but the truth is that I’ve got a bunch of work projects that will be requiring extra attention, and I’ll probably be fiddling with one of them.
The good news is that I already know what is on the schedule for the following Wednesday (May 13), and it’s an interview with a brand new guest—someone who was my cube neighbor back in Lake Geneva. So we all have THAT to look forward to.
Thanks for tuning in. Have a good week everyone!
