Something that impressed me during my time working on Dragonlance, and has stuck with me through all the years since, is how much the story, setting, and characters resonate with the fans ... and how strongly those memories remain even years afterward.
It was a great honor for me to get to work in Krynn for a little while, and to be part of the "family" forever more.
After a while something inside me died and I couldn’t cry anymore as I had gone totally numb and I would fall asleep to the sounds of other little abandoned ten year olds crying silently, alone in the darkness. This was soothing and made me feel good. Like I was a brave warrior like in the fantasy books I fanatically read to escape reality.
WOW - I read all of these while at boarding school. 1988 ! Thy saved my sanity... spent lots of time staring at the covers.
